FSF To Hold GPL Seminars January 20-21
An anonymous reader submits "I see that the Free Software Foundation is holding seminars about the GNU General Public License, the most popular unconstitutional Free Software license. If your company is working with Free Software, your managers or lawyers could probably learn something. I especially hope that Kevin McBride and David Boies will attend."
FSF holding lectures on the GPL? Sounds like church. I think I'll skip it, and watch football on the couch....
I especially hope that Kevin McBride and David Boies will attend
Darl not welcome? Maybe he could learn a thing or two...
Sounds like fun, but this is only for pretty serious people. Unless you're a corporate sponsor of the FSF, expect to pay for these 9-hour seminars:
Both Courses: $875 for registrations on or before Dec 24, 2003 and $975 after
First Course Only $495 for registrations on or before Dec 24, 2003 and $595 after
HIV Crosses Species Barrier... into Muppets
The FSF holds GPL Seminars every day, here on Slashdot. Often as many as 600 or 800 times per day.
A Good Intro to NetBS
At the time, RMS himself gave this lecture (very inexpensively, I might add: expenses plus a small speaker's fee), and while the FSF's legal staff is more qualified to address the legal ramifications of the GPL, it was a presentation I very much enjoyed.
You could've hired me.
The dick with the hat is back!
So, the GPL is sooooo complex you need to take a class on it in order to understand it. Yeah, I guess that sounds like the GPL.
Kevin McBride
Must be the other twin, who's all good and nice in every way.
