Theorists Tackle Mysterious 'Baby' Planet
neutron_p writes "Researchers from the University of Rochester located a potential planet around another star so young that it defied theorists' explanations and another team of Rochester planet-formation specialists are backing up the original conclusions, saying they've confirmed that the hole formed in the star's dusty disk could very well have been formed by a new planet. The findings have implications for gaining insight into how our own solar system came to be, as well as finding other possibly habitable planetary systems throughout our galaxy."
This discovery all started when the Arecebo observatory started picking up wailing cries from deep space. Plans are now being made to launch a Saturn V converted into a giant baby bottle.
Don't blame Durga. I voted for Centauri.
Wait, I am confused. Is this the giant space-baby planet that was in 2001? I thought that baby was close to earth. I guess he could have siblings though.

The star claimed that it had never seen the planetary accretion disk before, much less "partied" with it.
The accretion disk said it was drinking and couldn't remember exactly what happened, but said the star had promised to call it.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.

Got time? Spend some of it coding or testing
...said Earthling Overlords still haven't factored this entire system into their science yet, and it looks like said science is in for a fair bit of turmoil on its way there.

Is there a reason that /. OP's show a disgraceful tendency to claim authorship of text they didn't write? Neutron_p most definitely didn't *write* that text - he or she copied and pasted it from physorg.com, making some minor cosmetic adjustments to the text. And that text came verbatim from a press release from the University of Rochester.
Is it really that difficult to say "PhysOrg.com reports" at the start of the post?
