Added this earlier today to Akregator.

Hopefully more kernel developers jump aboard, but so far so good.

The security implications alone of running a 2.6.5 kernel is worrying enough...in days of old when we didn't have up2date, yum, apt and such, updates were hard. These days, theres just no excuse.

Look, buddy, I don't see a big red button that says "make linux secure". If I did, I'd probably push it, because security concerns me a lot. I don't see why this has to be complicated. I don't see why this should take any user intervention at all. Update automagicly while I'm napping, seriously.

I tried to "apt-get install linux", that didn't work and I don't care enough to fight with it. If its not easy, its just not gonna happen.

When more people like me switch over to free software we're gonna get owned and become spam relays unless somebody pokes through this Somebody Else's Problem field and makes a solution. I don't know who's problem it is but its certainly not the end user's. Shifting the blame to us is counterproductive.
