Funding Sought for $50 Billion Science Thing

WASHINGTON, DC -- Top physicists from several major American universities appeared before a Congressional committee Monday to request $50 billion for a science thing that would further U.S. advancement science-wise and broaden human knowing.

    I fail to see how a big, tubular, gamma-raying science thing built on a huge plot of land helps us in any vital way whatsoever. The bottom line--I don't want my tax money to go to a project when I have no idea what it does.
