    All right, I'm trying to figure out some practical reason for this. But I just can't. I just can't.

      They only had a 1 ft. ethernet cable left and Wal-Mart was closed?

      Duct tape means never having to have a practical reason.

      (Actually, it looks like they may have run out of desk space, but I think I prefer my first answer.)

      I recently had some major back surgery and am restricted in how long I can sit or stand. So I have been devising schemes like this in my mind over the past few weeks. I really need a ceiling mounted monitor above my bed, but am in no condition to do the work and am not comfortable asking friends and family to do it for me.

      You need nightstand-mounted projector pointing up at the ceiling, and preferably a light-coloured paint job up there.
