...not that I haven't seen worse on Slashdot, but can we please try to keep the main stories (yes, I know it's "Idle"), at least a little bit clean here? or do we need to have an Adult category where people can post trash like this?

Of course, you are right! Let's keep the conversations limited to techno stuff...still it was pretty funny from a strickly ADULT point of view. Trash seems a little strident, but heaven forbid any of the litle techno geeks might get the wrong idea of fair use for Twinkes!

What?! This was the best thing for morale I've seen in a long time, laughter is the best motivator IMO and I feel pretty motivated right now.
I think this is a wholly appropriate place for this type of content, and it was rightly labeled NSFW (which means Not Safe For Work). Heed the warnings and you'll be fine. No need for an Adult section that is easily blocked by IT.

I have the rest of the internet as a source of porn, and appeal to my lowest common demoninator (which I throughly enjoy). I come to slashdot for more cerebral stuff - and my hand is tired - so can we ditch the 'NSFW' stuff please? posted as AC (cos I haven't created an account yet).

"Idle" is a completely stillborn, no-go, & unneeded idea. Get rid of it.
Or at least re-invent it with some content that's mildly geek-related, like math/coding/science puzzles & humour.
As if this wasn't weird enough. I didn't realize I had left a digitally imported vocal trance stream running in the back ground. So my version had some nice music to it. Woo.. what a hoot. =D
Nothing. But the company buys block-lists from somewhere and when sites start showing NSFW content it's going to be blocked sooner or later. Doesn't matter if I click it or not.

This was fantastic. If this isn't the perfect example of what the Idle section is for, I don't know what is. So Awesome! Keep it coming. Nothing breaks the monotony of tech news all day long like a good funny clip like this one. I love the new section. Anyone having a problem with this post, or crying about this section's removal is just having a problem with change. They'll warm up to it.
