The 30 Greatest Conspiracy Theories

The Telegraph has put together a good list of the 30 greatest conspiracy theories of all time. All the old hits are there: the assassination of John F. Kennedy, Roswell, The Philadelphia Experiment, and the death of Elvis Presley. It also includes some relative newcomers such as claims that Diana, Princess of Wales, was murdered, Chemtrails, and "the AIDS virus was created in a laboratory." Put on your tinfoil hat and read them quickly before they take it down.

The governments themselves put that list up as "conspiracy theories" just to discredit everyone who believes in the truth. That, or I need another cup of coffee.

I can't help but notice that the article contains no counterpoint to the "Jesus conspiracy" item. You only need to know that the Priory of Sion was a hoax and never existed (except in the minds of the two hoaxsters). Since all the "evidence" of his involvement with Mary Magdalene rests on alleged Priory of Sion texts, it renders the entire theory invalid. Unfortunately, the release of a hack movie by a hack writer only supported this foolishness. news flash: in Hollywood, they make stuff up (see also: the duplicate "Resolute desk" in National Treasure II").
