G.I. Joe Game On the Way
Electronic Arts has revealed that they are developing a G.I. Joe video game that will be launched alongside the G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra movie later this year. According to the announcement, the game "picks up where the live-action movie leaves off, allowing players to re-create and re-live the greatest moments from the film, cartoon series and action figure toy line." The game is planned for the PS2, PS3, PSP, mobile devices, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS. EA confirmed that there would be a co-op mode, but it's unknown whether there will be an online component.
Ok. I can assure you I will not even think about getting the game after reading the first sentence of the summary. GI Joe and EA in the same sentence = destined to fail.
... news at eleven!

Onions Will Kill You
True to the cartoon series, the game will equip players with M-16s that fire lasers color-coded by which side the player is fighting for. No more running around scrounging for ammo, as players will start with an infinite supply. EA and Hasbro have also co-developed a unique auto-aim function, which guarantees that you'll always miss human targets, and their new patented Insta-Bail System ensures crew survival during tank and air battles.
Rated E for everyone!
I had it like 20 years ago!
Red Leader Standing By!
FUCK YEAH! GI JOE!
I loved the old U.S. military GI Joe. Why do the make "Cobra" GI Joes when the other ones actually existed.
Thanks. Now we know. And knowing is half the battle.
What were those?
At least it won't be the worst moments from the action figure line, like Cobra Commander being eaten by the neighbors dog, or loosing my favorite figure in my friend's massive sandbox, or accidentally dropping weapons down the vent in my bedroom...
And cheating is half the battle!
I don't remember it too well, but we did play it fairly often. http://www.lemon64.com/?mainurl=http%3A//www.lemon64.com/reviews/view.php%3Fid%3D231
The PC is spared another awful movie license game!

He knows all the bitches (i.e., the baroness) go crazy-wet over the chrome look.
It's not just his head that's silver...
Bow-ties are cool.
The game is planned for the PS2, PS3, PSP, mobile devices, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS
Ah ps2. The pinnacle of next gen gaming.
I'll stick to the NES GI-Joe games, thank you.
No sig for you. YOU GET NO SIG!
The game is planned for the PS2, PS3, PSP, mobile devices, Xbox 360, Wii, and DS.
I'm sure this isn't the first game with a PS2 AND a PS3 release (thought it is the first one I've noticed), but it seems like it says something when, in addition to all the current gen systems, a company also releases a game to a single last gen system. I just wish I knew what.

Make up your mind, does it pick up after the movie, or is it set during the movie?
