    It looks like Jesus just saved that base jumper's life! It is a miracle! Now how are they going to get down?

      Looks that way to me too, although I'm not an expert.

      For low jumps (Christo Redentor is only 120 feet high) it's essential to attach your parachute to something fixed. It's called a static line, and it pulls the parachute out of the bag allowing it to open much more quickly.
