Michael Jackson's Music Good For Economy?

atlanticbreakers writes ""Dr. Phil Maymin is an Assistant Professor of Finance and Risk Engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Chicago, a Master's in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University, and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Harvard University. He found a correlation between the annual average beat variance of the songs in the US Billboard Top 100 since its inception in 1958 through 2007 to the standard deviation of returns of the S&P 500 for the same year. He makes an interesting statement about Michael Jackson's songs."

Dude this is the most ridiculous tie in to some singer dying that Ive ever heard of. Lets set aside for a moment that he's who he is...he's just a singer/dancer who made music that people liked. Is there a f-n mathematical qualifier tied to the DNA sequencing of our physical being that suggests Mike can cure the world....thats the biggest misconception of most pop singers today...changing the world through music.

Michael didnt invent the friggin moonwalk, a dancer did and coached him on it.
Michael didnt write all of his songs, someone else did. Yep, even Thriller kids!
Michael paid $20 MILLION DOLLARS to shut a kid up who could describe what Michael Jackson looked like naked.
    Michael Slept with children.

    Michaels Father Jacked HIM UP!!!
Michael was an addict to pain meds probably after his hair caught on fire in that pepsi shoot.

Michael was an excellent humanitarian. Thats whats important but because of the things above, its not what he's going to be remembered for.

Sure he's got incredible talent. But I personally think Jesus Christ has got waaaaaaay more applicable talent than mike ever had. Now if Mike had preached the word of God, he'd be worthy of the kind of fanfare Im seeing but when a soldier in Iraq dies, do you see this kind of coverage? Hell no. Where are our priorities you crap filled media buckets you?

Whats going on in Iran anyway...oh thats right Michael F-n Jackson. Sorry Mike, its nothing personal. Its our own damn faults.

And what if music is the way to save the economy? You better read what the article is actually about instead of reading just the title alone. Nerds!

"Just read it, just read it, read it, read it... oooow!" :)
