Sugar-Sensitive Tattoos Could Make Life Easier For Diabetics

mbstone writes "Aside from ending painful daily fingerpricking for millions, the invention of the color-changing blood sugar tattoo should also reduce the vast amount spent on glucose test strips ($1/test). Next, I want to see artistic diabetic tattoos that morph according to the wearer's blood sugar."

      You just need to design an algorithm.

      If the stamp is visible -
      If the Day of the week is Friday, Saturday, or Sunday -
      If the Time is after 6 PM -
      Easy.

    Will they work on a way for getting that out of the system before deploying the beads? Long term effects on the area? I've read stuff like that is what holds up blacklight tattoos. When you figure the inks will be in the body just about forever, allergy and rejection considerations are important. Immune suppressants would make this technology a bit less attractive.
