With two and a half wars and a government showdown in the news, its good to see that Forbes is tackling the important issues, like which fictional character has the most imaginary wealth? Scrooge McDuck tops the list followed closely by sparkly vampire Carlisle Cullen. "Net worth estimates are based on an analysis of the fictional character's source material, and where possible, valued against known real-world commodity and share price movements," Forbes said. One wonders how many episodes of Duck Tales an economist has to watch to accurately estimate the contents of the money bin.

It seems weird to me that there are 400+ people in America alone that have a net worth in the same range as these 15 fictional characters. And the richest have around as much as all 15 of these fictional characters combined. Apparently we can't even imagine the type of wealth the richest of the rich have. It is hard imagining enough money to make $5-10 million a day on interest alone, let alone what to spend it on.

3 cubic acres of money is trans-dimensional, that is beyond our normal 3 physical dimensions. Even if it were all pennies, SMcD's fortune would easily eclipse the $29 billion mark. I believe that the Tardis was based on the money bin design.

And we are talking about 1951 dollars.

Saying Uncle Sam's resources are infinite is a cop-out. Scrooge McDuck has accumulated wealth where not even the Ferengi have been able to go.

The article is clearly biased against ducks who have manged to acquire wealth and power.

Of course! There is undeniably an imaginary dimension to the wealth Scrooge McDuck has accumulated. Hence, this is obviously a complex topic. When a real dimension is extended to a complex dimension by adding an imaginary dimension, the one-dimensional line gets extended to the two dimensional complex plane. Our 3D physical reality becomes a 3D complexity. Considering that the unit measure for a line has a length dimension, that the unit measure for a plane has area dimension, that the 3D reality has a cubic length as a unit measure, it follows that the 3D complexity should have a cubic area unit.

Everything is relative (or so I'm told), so if Scrooge was duck size then the value would also diminish. Remember he didn't have too many investments as he was more concerned with NOT spending his money.
I estimate that his $44.1 billion would be more likely around $4.1 billion instead.

Scrooge being duck sized doesn't reduce the size of his money bin... which was filled with gold. Gold is an investment in itself and one that increases dramatically in value.
