Space Command Creator Launches Real Life Space Command

An anonymous reader writes "Space Command creator Marc Scott Zicree just launched the Space Cadet Program. In the Cadet Program fans can sign up to be a part of a real life Space Command, be able to join a weekly conference call with Marc Scott Zicree, and get other perks."

    I funded this kickstarter and this guy sends out too many updates. He treats your inbox like twitter. I get an email daily from this project. Today I talked with so and so. We raised this much money. I should unsubscribe from the emails.

      Hit Ctrl+A. White-on-blue is infinitely easier to read.

      I do agree with you, though. I clicked the link, and immediately thought "Geocities." and had flashbacks to seizure-inducing animated gifs.

      I opened the site, wondered what the problem was, it was perfectly readable, then BAM, 2Meg, 2000x1000px big background image appears.

      I'm on a 10 mbps line here and it takes 3 seconds to load that thing. It takes ~1s to load from Cache and I've got an SSD...

      Hey guys, I'm the one who made this site. Thanks for pointing that out! It worked find on the few computer's I tested it on but I guess it wasn't working for a lot of folks! I've fixed it now! Feel free to bring up anything else that isn't working!

    I'm out on the basis of the typeface / logotype of "Space Command" - horribly cheesy and lame - along with all of the other design elements shown.

      Exactly why would they want words with him? Space Command might be trademarked?

      The US Air Force might prefer that people looking for them come to the right place? That no one mistakes a studio for the real thing? Governments tend to look down on that sort of thing....
