Bruce Schneier Becomes CTO of Co3 Systems
An anonymous reader writes "Co3 Systems announced that Bruce Schneier has officially joined the company in the role of its first CTO. Schneier joins Co3 after spending seven years as BT's Chief Security Technology Officer and the previous seven years as CTO of Counterpane Security. Schneier's formal engagement with Co3 Systems began early last year when he joined the company's Advisory Board. His intersections with the Co3 team date much farther back to when he and Co3's CEO John Bruce worked together at Counterpane."
... but he doesn't trust cryptography.
I tried to look up Co3 on Wikipedia, but I only got the "Conway Group of Order Three"...

Co3 isn't even a notable company.
But CO3 is highly unstable.
I wish him the best of luck. A gray beard jumping from a well establish company like British Telecom into a startup is a risky move. I'm sure old Bruce isn't hurting for money, but I doubt that he got "rich" at BT.
I think I might have stuck it out for the pension.
Here's some more information: http://bit.ly/1eBUNnM
Sun rise today will be at 5:59am, 6:59am for day light savings time.
That's gotta sting.
What were the mitigating circumstances, too much time blogging and not enough directing BT's technological future?
to figvht what has
I'm sorry but I refuse to take Bruce Schneier with any level of seriousness anymore. I've been lead to believe he's some sort of security expert, but not only does he use Windows and ONLY Windows, he has not even tried using Linux because he's lazy:

So he's picked convenience over security, something a security expert should NEVER choose as a priority. Why the fuck should we listen to him anymore?
"While he's denying it for the record, he *is* one of the people helping the Guardian/NYT review the Snowden documents"
Where in that URL does Schneier deny he is working on the Snowden documents with the Guardian/NYT?

'Yes, it's true. And contrary to rumors, this has nothing to do with the NSA or GCHQ. No, BT wasn't always happy with my writings on the topic, but it knew that I am an independent thinker and didn't try to muzzle me in any way. I'm just ready to leave. I spent seven years at BT, and seven years at Counterpane Internet Security, Inc., before BT bought us. It's past time for something new.`
Have fun
there's an european company that already created a very comprehensive and effective tool since 2010, which is currently adopted by many Fortune Customers. I would suggest you better do your market research. Maybe it is time to retire.
