Apple To Pull Some iPhones In Germany Following Ruling In Qualcomm Patent Case (cnbc.com)

"Qualcomm was granted a second injunction against Apple on Thursday, banning it from selling some iPhone models in Germany that use chips from Intel and parts from another supplier, Qorvo," reports CNBC. This is the second major win for Qualcomm against Apple after a Chinese court granted an injunction against Apple for an alleged patent violation on Dec. 10." From the report: In a statement, Apple said it plans to appeal the ruling. Under this condition, Judge Matthias Zigann told the court earlier Thursday, the ruling would not go into immediate effect. However, Apple said that throughout the appeal process, iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 models will not be sold in its 15 retail stores in Germany. Its newest models, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, will still be sold in those stores, Apple said in the statement. All iPhone models will still be sold through carriers and other third-party retailers in Germany, Apple said. But Qualcomm said in a press release that the injunction will be in effect as soon as it posts the required bonds. It said it would complete the process "within a few days."

I know your comment was meant as a joke, but this actually gives Apple the ability to only sell their most expensive newest iPhones "iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, will still be sold in those stores".
So Germany is specifically going to be more on the frontier of iPhone technology, assuming anybody wants to pay that much for a phone these days.

Disclaimer: I really like Apple products, but now more than ever, their prices can't be justified.

You'd think after multiple court losses in multiple countries Apple would finally give in and just pay Qualcomm what they owe them.

But no, the company that patented rounded rectangles and scrolling "but on a touchscreen" is still refusing to pay Qualcomm for the use of their technology that - what was it for again? - oh yes, THE HARDWARE THAT MAKES THE IPHONE A MOBILE DEVICE. You know, the hardware that lets it connect to the Internet at all. The stuff Apple never developed and never did any work on. Unlike their hard work in "rounded rectangle" technology.

(And they did do something there - Apple "rounded rectangles" don't use circles for their corners. The use some weird curve that you'd only ever notice is slightly different if you were to overlay a proper rounded rectangle on theirs. It's something you'd only notice when using templates that use regular rounded rectangles only to find weird artifacts when used in iOS. Templates like those provided by Apple, hilariously enough.)

Oh, right, the cellular modem technology that Apple stole from them.

You know, the technology that makes a smart phone a smart phone.

It's not like there's a single piece of hardware Apple has ever made themselves, everything is stolen from some other company. (Yes, even Face ID: that tech was pioneered by Microsoft.)

Yeah, a single design of (now obsolete) cellular modem was a unique human achievement on part with the Manhattan Project or the Moon shot. Or you're a moron, of course, whichever is MORE true.

Whether or not Apple violated a patent of QC, (and I'm sure there's an argument there that works better than your pathetic attempt) you still know jack shit about either party, nor the technology itself.

Violating a patent is actually easy to do without ever "stealing" any design specifics, or even intentionally copying any. Lawyers make billions of dollars either way, but you don't know anything about that either.

Qualcomm didn't invent anything? HAHAHA they invent a hell of a lot more than Crapple does. Most of Crapple's "inventions" really shouldn't be patent-able anyways. Maybe trademarked? Here we have Qualcomm who invents a lot of the technologies that make our mobile devices possible, supplies the modem chipsets and cell tower equipment. What does Crapple "invent"? rounded corners and can barely design RF components that function properly or did you forget about antenna gate, and "your holding it wrong" already?
