1st part of space station ready

Not the normal news here at Slashdot, but this was much too cool to pass up. The first part of the international (ESA, USA, Russia, Canada, Japan) space station has been completed, and is ready for launch. As segments are completed, they will be ferried up. The first occupants, American astronauts and Russian cosmonauts will occupy it in the first part of 1999.
