Update on Beowulf

Jerkweed wrote in to update us on the rumors about Beowulf over at NASA. Again, this is completely unsubstantiable rumor. It might be hogwash, but it sounds reasonable. Anyway, Jerkweed wrote in to say that "a) the web site is up....but b) the rpm's and eth drivers from it are not-downloadable... "We regret that Beowulf software is currently unavailable for download from this server. This situation will be rectified as soon as possible." c) from my source, i hear tell that this will be resolved relatively soon...one way or another. Let's all hope that they decide it's not a "munition". " I've had a lot of people contact me about this. If anyone can confirm or deny something for sure, I'd love to hear about it.
