Brett A. Thomas writes "An initial release of a GPLd MP3 player has been made FreeAmp.org. Right now functionality is minimal (a basic GUI for Windows; command line for Linux) and performance leaves a lot to be desired, so, obviously, we need a lot of help from the Open Source community. "
