Lord of the Rings Trilogy of Films

Joseph Elwell writes "J.R.R. Tolkien's immortal classic, "Lord of the Rings" is slated to become a trilogy of feature films. The first installment "Fellowship of the Ring" is set to be released in the year 2000. New Line Cinema is commited to spending more than $130 million." I've got several mails about this one- some are hostile, some are really excited. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do with it. You can't match the book, but if they can pull it off, its a movie that'll get my eight bucks.
