Thank you Microsoft

Microsoft's new licensing scheme for Windows NT will be so expensive that UK schools won't be able to afford it. This is truly good news for the free Un*xes since people tend not to switch paradigms once they have learnt on that works for them. Given that Linux et al. are a much better learning tool (roll your own matey) and given that the UK has a long history of supporting educational software on alternative platforms (BBC B, Archimedes...), this could be good for everybody.
