Keyboard Spraypainting Tips Wanted

Josh Arnold writes in with this crazy idea: "I recently spray painted my keyboard a nice chrome color, however (as one might expect) the paint it already starting to be worn off the keys. I also intend to paint my monitor and cpu case, so I want to get this right =) I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks to make this work. Perhaps some extra protective coating that could be applied, or maybe I just need to bake it in the oven <grin>?" Kids, only do this with proper supervision (grabbing the nearest person interested will suffice...)
