Where can you get Linux Computer Logos?
Mike asks:
"I was wondering if anyone knows where I could
buy a linux plate logo (to fit in that 1" x 1"
square in my computer case). I have been
searching around, but I cannot seem to
find one."

I picked up a copy of redhat 5.2 the other day, and it comes with a nifty little Redhat sticker for that spot... Alas, my new laptop doesn't have one of those spots... (BTW, Best Buy has the official 5.2 box set for $20, at least around here)
The homepage of the Linux Penguin Sticker Movement has suppliers and "source".

I thoguht the Linux General Store had them, but I can't find them on their web site. However, it looks like SSC will sell less than 250 at once, the page now has a deal for 50 for $25, for a limited time...

Redhat Linux 5.2 (Retail Box) has "Powered by RedHat" logo, with the familiar red hat

So, where can I get a vector-based version of the logo? At least a 300dpi raster-based version? The t-shirts that I've made for myself look a little jagged. :)
You've still got to consider the US$2.00 shipping fee for anything under 100 pieces. Still not bad, because it's _really cool_. But I would still get a few friends together and order a few. Or, you could get them, and give them to your Linux friends as a 'suprise'. (Now why couldn't I find _this_ before xmas? I ended up getting everyone Linux CD's...cool gift, but this is better...)

I know exactly what you want... A friend of mine picked me up a few of these "Linux Nameplates" at USENIX this past year. I have taken a picture of mine and put it here:http://bubba.org/powered_by_linux.jpg. This is not a crummy sticker, its a really nice nameplate that simply says, "Powered By Linux" and has a picture of a penguin. And at the bottom is a url: www.linuxresources.com. I haven't tried contacting them to see if they have any of these forsale, but I would like to get my hands on a few (they were FREE at USENIX).

A friend and I made a similar logo (not linux) a few years ago.
We printed out the logo of my friend's company on glossy paper... and stuck it into the little depressed area.
It looked great, and shouldn't be too difficult...
If I were doing it now, I'd cover it with clear contact paper or 3M book tape or something.
I'd like one that says "Powered by Debian" too!
Anybody wanna make some... I'll buy!!!

Following the previous posts, I found the Powered By Linux squares at http://www.linuxresources.com/pbl.html in quantities of 250. Does anyone know if there are any sites that have bought a crate or two and are selling them individually?

When I was @ COMDEX in Lasvegas in November, I
went to the Linux Journal booth and picked up
a stick, plasticish, blue 1" logo like this, with
a penguin on it. It has the URL:
http://www.linuxresources.com/
Maybe you can get one there. Or try:

I also got one with my RedHat 5.2 Extra Package.
(I have both on my case)
