Is there a COMPLETE Linux Timeline Available?

Rob Kaper asks this interesting question: "We all know LWN's 1998 timeline and some of us read Linus' timeline written in 1992 as well. But is there a more complete 1991-1999 timeline filling the gabs? I know it was once a work in progress for the Linux Promotion Project, but I've never seen something like it."

If so, check out http://www.amush.ml.org/~rhw/kern el.versions.html
This lists kernel releases dating back to 0.01 on September 17th, 1991.

On the linux-kernel mailing list in December/November there was someone assembling a CVS archive of all the kernel releases he could find. Search the mailing archives for his URL. This might give you essentially what you're looking for and more.

I believe Red Hat's "Dr. Linux" book has a full history in it. It's a huge, 20 lb. slab of a book that was in their "Maximum Linux" bundle a while back.
