Feb. Linux Gazette Out

Articles include a timely one on Linux Certification, an
Ode to RMS, Linux Installation and ispell.

The Ode was rather diappointing - 10 pages working up to RMS doling out the same tired, old rehash of his favorite slogans - "Free speech, not free beer", "GNU/Linux, not Linux", "I don't care about the end user," etc.
True geeks already knew everything in the kernel compiling artical. (though we may not have put all the peices togather) They compile a custom kernel anyway. It isn't hard (for a true geek) and they get the stuff they need all the time in the kernel, and the stuff they don't need isn't there.
Besides, most geeks have a 386 or similear in a corner someplace that invalidates everything in the artical.
Is anyone else having difficulty connecting? I can't tell whether the site's down or the firewall here just took a dislike to it.

355/113 -- Not the famous irrational number PI, but an incredible simulation!
Either they are having a few server problems(and the feb issue is not out on any of the mirrors that I have been perusing) or they have been /.'ed ...

It has been pubished? So does that mean it is now pubic?!
I've tried to connect to it for hours, to no avail. SSC should know better and do something about it, or ask Rob to please stop posting articles about us in Slashdot thank you.

In Soviet Russia, Jesus asks: "What Would You Do?"
THere is no nEeed to publicize this information.
Next time, wait until the mirrors have had a chance to grab the pages before you post the article. That way the /. load won't be hitting their server ALL DAY, just long enough for people to find a mirror.
As it is, I still haven't found the Feb issue on any mirrors yet.
