Don Becker and Linus Torvalds on TechNetCast

At the awards ceremony in SF last week Don received the prize from the hands of Linus Torvalds. You can watch it all on Dr. Dobb's TechNetCast in RealVideo. Also, in case you missed it, some members of mozilla were featured on another recent program. "

    Over half the visitants to theez site using Windows and Destroyer right now. A higher Dobbs award

    Moderators still suck, still can't take a joke and pine for the days when Apple ruled the world and Star Wars was a critcally acclaimed movie and their conscience didn't bother them. Supress Free Speach, Long Live Moderatorism!!!

    Interesting that a news of Microsoft porting Internet Explorer draws hundreds of comments and this one almost none? I couldn't care less about IE, may it rot in windows.

      The article doesnt really offer a lot to argue about... Unless you think they shouldnt have got that award you just read it and move on.

    Nice to see those people rewarded for their hard work. DDJ is actually a nice magazine too, unbiased of operating systems and stuff. What really annoyed me that the announcer guy kept misprenouncing Linux and Linus' name. Becker said he admired Linus' management skills, although he knew that that would make Linus cringe :-) Great that Guido van Rossum got awarded. He deserves that award.

    I went over to check out the article when I realized few people here were commenting on it? Could it suck that much or are most people at work and not wanting to kick in the Real Video?

    There is a print article as well.

    Donald Becker was recognized for implement[ing] the Beowulf Project, a cluster computer connected via Ethernet and running on Linux.

    Guido van Rossum was reconized for creating Python.
