ALS Registration and Keynote
Thanks to LinuxPR for this one. It seems
that the Atlanta Linux Enthusiasts have
opened web-based registration for this October's
Atlanta Linux Showcase. According to the
press release, the first 100 registrees receive an OS Wars (it's a
spoof of Star Wars) shirt. They also
announced that Jeremy Allison, one of the key Samba developers, will be giving
the keynote. The full text of the press release can be read here.
Someone could make a bundle selling those
t-shirts... i know a bunch of people here
at work that would luv those....
An ALS conference? Cool! Will Stephen Hawking be there?
Are you guys going to open up that design (a la Tux) so that others can print shirts?
We will be contacting the first hundred registrants shortly to get shirt sizes.
As to putting the shirts up for sale, we are planning to offer a couple on eBay, proceeds to benefit one of the non-profit development groups.
