There was once a serial killer in Black Mountian, North Carolina. Someone told me that the killer in Silence of the Lambs was based partially on this killer. I have no idea what his name is, and I have no information about him. All I know is that he made furniture from his victim's skin. I've been searching all day for info about him, but have found nothing about him. Anyone got any info?
I attend Warren Wilson College. It is a small (~650 students) liberal arts school that has a required work program. Each student here must work 15 hours a week for the college. The students run everything on campus, from the dining hall to the farm to the computer systems.
I've been working on the computer services crew for about 2 years now. While it is frustrating when people graduate, we manage to get by. When I'm sent out on a job, I usually take a less experienced crew member with me to teach them something.
In terms of server security, we have two supervisors (paid staff) who have the root passwords and power to fire us. There are 2 students (the ones who make the website) that have some of the root passwords too, this is for
after hours server problems.
I'd say the program here works very well, we keep
the lab running smoothly, and we keep all the office machines stable.
It's been great training for me, and I've really enjoyed it so far. Also, the word gets out that I'll even fix student computers for a six pack:-)
I used to play the Ungame when I was a kid...
I must still have it at home, I'll have to go check it out. I don't remember it too well, other
than some parts of the board... the chalet for example. There were cards you'd have to draw that were kinda like chance cards, you'd have to do different things, like hug someone playing or tell a story on a certain subject or something.
I'm thinking it is probably zero sum though, but a lot less competitive than most board games.
