ID thieves are going corporate. Assuming the identity of consumers to obtain loans and credit cards under assumed names has become the US's fastest growing crime. Now fraudsters are applying similar tricks against potential enterprise victims. How come all these things happen??
Wherever the security group is placed in an organization, its ultimate success or failure is likely to be determined by its level of autonomy and independence. Unfortunately, in far too many organizations, information security is not given that liberty. It is often placed in a subservient role to groups with opposing interests. Any security group or security manager placed in such a situation should likely start working on their resume.
The scenario is described in 'Practical Unix and Internet Security' where author Professor Gene Spafford spells out Spaf's first principle of security administration. This principle states that 'if you have responsibility for security but have no authority to set rules or punish violators, your own role in the organization is to take the blame when something big goes wrong'. Spaf's principle is a cruel reality faced by many of those responsible for information security.
by using e-card system, i think it is quite interesting and good for us because nowadays there are many consequences and disadvantages if we buy things and paying by cash..
we have to find a good solution to avoid this scenario before it happen. we need to save 1 million lives than 1 live. come on.. sometimes a friend can be an enemy in a mean way.. an enemy can be a friend in a proper way.. so, please think about it PEOPLE!!

err.. well.. actually we have to check again how the incident was happened. we can't extremely delighted blame to eachother... what past is past.. our life must go on
of course.. definitely i also agree with you. we as the customer have to be conscious about our right and to avoid the bad thing happen to us. PEOPLE should be aware about this!
