You aren't kidding. I bought the previous Manhunt and found it to be a solid, but somewhat boring game. I certainly had no interest in playing another one. Now with all the controversy surrounding this sequel, I'm actually somewhat excited to try it out.
One thing to keep in mind is that all video coming of the PS3's HDMI port (whether movie, game, or Linux-based) is encrypted with HDCP so you'll need an LCD that that supports HDCP. Dell's new LCDs support HDCP over DVI, so the adapter will work with these.
Actually, I still own the PS2 Linux kit and I can back up the statement that it came with a nice keyboard. In this case I guess "nice" means "nicer than what I expected" since I was expecting Sony to throw in the cheapest keyboard they could find, which they didn't do.
The VGA cable was unfortunately restricted to being used only with the PS2 Linux kit but as for quality, it was as good as any other.
Since we're on the topic, I have a web site - www.threesixbox.com - dedicated to XNA projects. It already has a good number of user-submitted projects for you to try out, many of which have the source code that you can study and learn from. Currently all the projects a PC-based, so you don't need to be a member of the Creator's Club to try them out.
While you're right about it being a numbers game, selling millions of PS3 units does not guarantee BluRay's success as a movie format, just as selling many PSP units did not guarantee UMD's success. BluRay's success will be determined by how many movies are sold in that format.
Funny you should mention balls. I have a site that I've recently put up dedicated to sharing XNA projects, and one of my recent projects is actually called "Balls". You can find it here: http://www.threesixbox.com/project?id=2a9221cf3d
It looks fine to me. Keep up the good work Positech guy.
