This watch is always on time because it synchronizes with atomic radios globally. The battery never runs out because the watch face is a solar cell. You don't have to take off the watch because it is water resistant to 5 bars/50 bars. It looks like an "adult" watch though it has standard digital features: Date, world time, stopwatch, countdown, and alarms.
The titanium makes this watch almost indestructible. The sapphire glass only had a minor scratch when a person fell pinning my wrist to a rock face. Everything still worked, but I replaced the glass anyway. Not bad for 4 years.
New York State passed very stringent laws to protect their constituents right to vote.
At the heart of the matter and the DOJ's filing is New York State's requirement for Escrow of Source Code.
Every vendor uses a Microsoft OS and Microsoft refuses to put their various source codes into escrow.
Escrow means taking something important be it a document or money and putting it under lock and key where it is safe and secure.
Eventually this important document or money can be released from escrow, this safe and secure place and is safely and securely transferred to a pre-determined destination.
In the context of New York State, Escrow does not mean that all of sudden the world will have Microsoft's Source Code, only the Government and only in the case of an Election gone wrong.
New York State needs your help. New York State needs technology talent like Slash Dot readers to do more than just read and write about our Democracy going down the drains. New York needs you to take active steps towards building an alternative to proprietary hardware based on proprietary software and replace it with open hardware based on open source or free software. Had a Wii launch party with 10-15 of my nearest and dearest.
First and foremost, NO LOAD TIMES.
Okay some load time, but faster than any other console.
Most of the games seemed gimmicky focusing on new ways to interact.
As a party game system it was funny to watch people gesturing as they played.
One draw back is the insensitivity of the system to normal movements
requiring players to over articulate and exaggerate their motions.
The day after my arms are sore from several hours of playing.
It was also necessary to move furniture to create an area for players to
stand and gesture wildly as they played.
The Freebie Sports Game disc didn't have much in the way of long lasting entertainment.
The clear winner from the initial release is Rayman. Unfortunately as a single player,
it is more or less a pass around/turn taking party game.
After a day of motion based video games, most launch party attendees were
happy to sit down to a controller based game on a different console.
Great job on this one. A new measure of damages will change the legal landscape on copyright claims.
If you pull this one off, Eastern District (Brooklyn & LI) will be safe.
They won't appeal, better off loosing a District than loosing several states.
If they do, lets hope it holds up in the 2nd Circuit, and if not,
NYCountryLawyer can look forward to admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court.
Good Luck.
Yes, this can be implemented on a linux box very easily. Long story short I implemented this in 2002 at the University at Albany, SUNY with a friend. It requires a dedicated server and a dedicated encoder. What will make the process easier is going all digital on your content development.
You can use any number of devices to keep the content automated and going from cron to java scripts to shell scripts and what have you. The challenge is figuring out what you want to do and how you want it managed? Since 2002 there is a lot more technology out there. Our solution at the time was to use windows explorer with embedded media playing. Two draw backs were an occasional refresh logo in the top, and IE's tendency to be unstable.

That didn't take long at all.
Check out the white house at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington, DC 20500.
All the "White House" pictures are making fun of Bush.
Welcome Google to the same woes as wikipedia.

It currently has a barebones site: Albany Student Television
