though i am far from a gaming guru (such as john) i've had a deal of experience in neural networks, genetic algorithms and writing genetic algorithms for neural networks! after some research into game-type-topics i think neural networks are too slow for gaming. pre evolved genetic techniques are absolutely great for path finding type tasks though. there is nothing quite as scary as see behaviour and limitly intelligence emerge from a simple bot your are playing against.
