very true. but at the same time, people so frequently seek out dogma in order to justify their way of doing things, or even just to find a clear path that doesn't involve much decision-making, that it's important to articulate these things explicitly from time to time, along with the reasoning behind it. besides, it's joelonsoftware, so it's obviously right.
huh. good thing i'm good enough at my job to be able to choose to not work for an evil corporation.
it's not in a company's best interest to scare off good employees.
