Kinda funny.. I am working on a similar project. It's a distributed snmp-based networkmonitoring program, with the capability to log data to database. I've not yet considered how large the amount of data to be logged will be, but I've chosen MySql as my database, and up until now it have handled things pretty good. Do you have a website with info on your project? I am really curious to see exactly what it is. Maybe get some ideas for my own:-) btw.
