You are right. At work some of my coleagues develop for the Netweaver platform and most of the time they assist the customers in migrating from from SP x to SP y, not to mention the passionate discussions about the great new "features" SP whaterwer brings in.

SAP released a Java EE 5 compatible application server a few weeks ago.
