the business owner isn't apparently entitled to earn a little money, either.
If you can get these things for free, and are willing to do the work yourself, then fine, do so and don't pay Best Buy to do it for you. Best Buy, OTOH, shouldn't be expected to do it for you for free when it costs them money to do it.
My parents own a small restaurant and I currently work at Best Buy: You summed up what I was thinking exactly. Thank You!
Argh, I was looking up and down this thread for mention of Pullman, and I ended up replying somewhere else!
Point being, I thought of Pullman, and I also just finished the series. What a thought-provoking article!
Actually, I saw this article and thought instantly of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials series. (The first book in the trilogy, The Golden Compass , is coming to theaters Dec. 3)
He talks about "Dust" and how it's alive and such... so yeah, maybe someone did think it was a cool idea!
Of course this completely doesn't apply to the actual store ethics damnit. Like we could function... stupid retail. But Best Buy Corp would be awesome to work for in Minnesota. Too bad it's in Minnesota... hehe
"And status amongst whom? Fellow gaming geeks?" hey, welcome to slashdot, new for nerds. stuff that matters.... do you happen to see a good portion of the articles that are posted here? ie, gaming topics? im going to assume that a lot of the people that come to this site are into gaming, and not so much into sailing or skiing. its called slashdot, not saildot.
