To All.
Be true to thy self. That is how you change from a SSE to manager to director in a year.
I have learned management from the fire hose by taking my 5 best and 5 worst managers, then emulating the good ones and not doing what the bad ones did.
Along the way here I have learned that there are just times you have to tell your peeps this is the way it is. And some times you can get their buy in.
At the end of the day/week/month/year....Be true to thy self. Treat others as you would be treated, and remember statistics are like a bikini. They hid what is vital and show what is suggestive.
All the rest is just noise.
I must agree with this fellow. I run FC6 at home just because I saw the neat spinny cube-a-thingy. I can just as easily run windows, or mac. I pefer whatever is best for the job at hand that is going to give me the least amount of trouble.
It would be nice if we could go back to the days where we did not have a choice, and then it would be easy. You had a slide rule, or you had paper and pencil.
sit your processors on that and remember, moderation and tolerence will get the job done, left or right just make us spin around the room faster.
