MS dominates the PC OS market and will do so for years to come, mainly because Windows is installed on almost every new machine before it leaves the factory. So Linux isn't a problem because it will always cost more effort to download/install.
OpenOffice on the other hand is way cheaper than the MS equivilent and a major threat to an important MS revenue stream.
Solution: cosy up to companies that support Linux and enlist their aid in undermining OOo.
