For someone who's actually interested, do some research on hemp as an alternative energy. It can also be used for clothing, medicine, and for your own enjoyment!
I agree about presenting both sides of the issue, which is why it's good to be teaching ID to our kids as well. And I suppose Civil Engineering has SO much to do with Evolution.. Please man, wake up and smell the roses. Since when are engineering disasters caused by teaching ID? There's just as much proof for ID as there is for evolution, so let the kids decide which they want to believe. Or is it that you're one of those who want to indoctrinate our kids into atheism? These types of problems is why I don't agree with having a state-controlled school, and why I will be homeschooling my kids.

What an ignorant person you are. Do you really think it's the people at the polling offices that are altering votes? Honestly, do you think there's maybe a reason why they won't release the source for these machines? Perhaps it's because they know it's vulnerable and perhaps they even built the vulnerabilities in. You realize if someone did have control over these machines they would essentially control how our government works. No longer would you have your own vote, but you would think you did. Realize what kind of power that gives to the people in charge? I'm no conspiracy nut, but this is more than just circumstance.
Since when does the Judicial branch have the authority to overturn laws? If I recall correctly they only have the authority to enforce it. Please tell me I didn't pay attention in my American Government class.
I love how people actually think the water level will rise if the world gets hotter. The truth is that ice is just expanded water which for the most part dwells below sea level. If you were to melt this ice the water level would actually go down. You can even test this with a cup of ice water if you'd like.
But like was stated, global warming is non-existent, ice levels are actually high in the arctic, and yes, there are lots of dumb scientists who make up "theories" (if you call them that, I just call them lies) to ensure their job security.
As to the question of the topic, I'd say world government (which is what the EU is leading to) has no bounds to overstep (that's why it has to be stopped).

you're partially right on this subject, but I'm actually scared of this new legislation. If someone were to invent something and not have the money to patent his idea, there's nothing to protect him from someone or some company coming along and taking his idea and making money off of it. All this is is just another step towards letting our country becoming run by corporations.
Who says America has to be like the rest of the world anyway? This country was created because we didn't want to be like the rest of the world, now we want to be like it?
I'd like someone to show me exactly where this "separation clause" is in the Constitution, because I guarantee you won't find it. I can however give a thorough explanation on where this "separation clause" idea came from if anyone is interested...

IIRC, the US never adopted DOCSIS 2.0, I think we use 1.2 still, anyone know for sure?
