  1. Problems solved by the masses... on The Role of Prizes In Innovation · · Score: 1

After examining 166 problems posted by 26 research labs on the InnoCentive site over four years, Karim Lakhani, a Harvard Business School professor, found 240 people, on average, examined each problem, 10 offered answers and 29.5% of the problems were solved. Wikiproblema? Perhaps student's homework assignments could be done the same way.

Because Intel and Microsoft don't make screens.

Not quite true... The Deptartment of Defense classifies UAV usage for "Dull, Dirty, or Dangerous" tasks. I immagine that civilian uses would likely follow the same mantra with the added "Cost" factor that military uses don't care about. There are civilian uses in the US right now such as aerial photography, structure inspections, and surveying. However these tasks are currently limited to the RC hobbist ranges.

SUV bashing isn't even all that accurate. Sports cars trade mileage for performance. For example, the Audi A6 sedan gets 22mpg (combined)--the same as the Toyota Highlander SUV. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/
