I understand that some people never get it and it can seem useless but even if they only manage to pick up a little it will help them better understand abstract thinking and how to solve problems.
Given what poor standards we set for the arguments made by the people we listen to (politicians, pundits, friends, family) the level of mathematics required in school should only be increased or at the very least supplemented with more various branches.
