The 2.4GHZ or ISM (Industry Science Medical) band is used in various equipment.
From what I know it has the same limitations on power output as mobiles. The kids keep those closer to their body than any wireless equipment.
Oh well, give the kids some tinfoil hats and let them use wireless in the classroom.
