With the Google van driving by unknown to me how do I close my curtains? Yeah, but wasn't there something a while back about google street also getting snaps in as high as second story windows and of girls sunbathing? Yes you could see a cat sitting at the window of a second storey flat and there were also 2 girls sunbathing in bikinis.

But Google's cameras are driving down a public road so don't lie half naked in public if you don't want to be photographed. Same goes for open windows.

If I say something online that someone disagrees with I have no problem with them emailing me and telling me so in fact as a strong supporter of freedom of speech I'm more then happy that they were able to reach me (even if they abuse me). They personally wrote the email to me and I have as much right to reply but if they send me dozens of emails then that becomes harassment and when they write an email and send it to me along with thousands of other people that is SPAM and it damages my communications channel (in this case email)

I get the feeling that your not a heavy email user if you have no problem changing email addresses but my email is in dozens of different address books and directories and it is not easily changed! Would you like to change your Phone number & Postal Address? To me it would be easier to change postal address and full name than it is to change email only to still have the SAME problem.

While Italian law is certainly different and this may be a valid argument in Italian court, the hurdle here is twofold. First, prove that Wikipedia is itself at fault for the contents. Given the open source documentation license they use, I am not sure they could prove that. Second, they would need to get someone who is legally able to represent Wikipedia into Italian court.

For this to work, I believe they would need to convince a U.S. Federal court to extradite people to Italy, and given the merits of this case, I doubt that would happen.

At the end of the day Wikipedia can safely ignore any ruling by an Italian court so long as they are not in Italy.

I know a case where an Armed Robber was ordered to pay back the money he took and do community service. He did neither and it was upto his victims to file a civil suit to make him comply! The civil suit was never filed because people have more important things to do then goto court.
