    But you see, a blogger doesn't have a 'job' to lose(meaning, blogging is not their occupation), so what do they care if they write false accusations?

    I pride myself on the quality of my blog, and have the sources documentation and research to back up everything I write about. I also provide contact details so that I can retract any inaccuracies if they do appear, which fortunately has only ever happened once. I also have no editors to sabotage the final print before publishing meaning the end product is always what I intended. The same cannot be said for journalists.

    then they must follow the same code of conduct/ethics as a traditional journalist.

    So instead of sticking to the facts and citing reliable sources I should just write sensational fear mongering claims.

    Why use Linux when you can use Windows? There are good reasons business pick Windows over Linux namly that it's a complete solution that does everything they require, the same cannot be said of Linux distros.

    It's especially fun when you're reading text on you phone only to have the page taken away by a Java dialogue box that you can't always close.

    It is trivial to make a page that is empty and use JavaScript to load the contents of the page.

    Many site already do this because every kid with a laptops calls himself a designer. Hence the quality of code is in rapid decline.

    These day webdesigners are so crap at their jobs that many sites can't even load text without javascript enabled.

    So... price for this wind power is on par with US wholesale prices for all (coal, hydro, NG, etc.) averaged together... not really 3x.

    TFA says nothing about the price of wind power. Only that increased supply (vs demand) has caused prices to drop.

    At this point, the only real annoyance is Twitter. Whenever the person is on TV, writes an article/book, or a movie about them is aired, I get a nice little run of DMs. Sigh.

    You need to follow someone before they can DM you on twitter. Tell another lie.

    There's a thing called an address book. If you Google for it you should find plenty of resources.

    I have found that an effective solution for catchall is to run it on a subdomain. So I have.

    user@domain.tld for my email address and wildcard@catchall.domain.tld for anytime I need to supply a unique email address.

    It decouples you from your provider. You can move to a different email hosting service or even run your own without much inconvenience.

    This alone is an important reason to use your own domain. You can forever be in control of your own email address meaning you can have the address for life.

  19. Evidence, aka your word. Why should a provider simply take the word/evidence of someone who isn't even prepared to back their allegations in court.

  20. Very few abuse reports are genuine. A common complaint I get is from people who are offended and simply want the site gagged. Whant to shut down someones site get a court order.

    If you break the law then, to quote you, it's your own damn fault.

    How can you tell if a website is breaking the law? An illegal activity in the United States may be legal in the country that the website is located in. Thus making it a legal website.

    It's called due process. I'm guessing you're the type of person who would also complain if they were locked up without a trial.

    I had a thief break into my car and steal the trashbag. It was a plastic Myers (Department store) bag that I was using as a bin, perhaps they thought it contained expensive clothing.
