I really hope the US has grown up since they kept breaking treaties with the Indians. That old fashioned 'we are chosen by God, so we are justified in doing anything' attitude was really a disgrace to the human race.
And 'if they are bad, we can be bad too' would, if people agreed on this mean that the whole world would be as uncivilized and treacherous as the most uncivilized and treacherous people on the Earth. I really don't hope the US has that attitude, because with their military power they could effectively make everybody else's lives a living hell, like they did to the Indians back in the 1800s.
That would surely make me wonder if mankind even deserves to be here on Earth, but never mind - we'll find some way to kill ourselves, anyway...
