If your network gets bogged down by someone wishing to utilizing a steady data stream, you have more important problems to deal with than Napster, mainly the design of your network.
Although your post is completly off topic, mine had nothing to do with karma, whatever that has to do with my post.
And whoever said about the themes being missed, maybe I wrongly expressed myself.
I'm saying what's to stop Microsoft from stealing GPLed code, the work done by mane, and sell it as theirs? That's my question, as the more Windows advances, it seems to follow the advances of OSS, yet the sheep think it's Microsoft who's so inventive. Before you bitch think about stuff.
There's more music programs for Linux than you thought. Just check out freshmeat.net or other sites.
Is your ability to write music really tied to software? Or does software free you to write music? Up to you. I've done way too much music using 100% free tools/code to be flamed, so I know there's better tools in the free world.
I wonder if I were to setup two accounts with two different ISPs, and then send e-mail from one to another stating things like "DESTROY FBI" and criminal words I know they'll be monitoring for, I wonder if it'll prompt an investigation. Considering I'm sending an e-mail to myself, it should proove quite odd for them. On the other hand, if they got tones of people doing this, would Carnivore's usefullness proove quite useless?:)
but you don't turn millions from coding, from networking, from developing IRC, from developing Linux. Sure a few EXPLOITERS are making millions, like the CEOs of really big distribution companies (oooops, don't wanna step on any toes over here), or CEOs or CTOs (wtf?!?). Whoever became a milionaire from programming a script that saved millions of bytes on large servers?
Yet you write something stupid like the thong song:) and you make millions.. why? Cuz you're rude... that's why. I'd rather pay money for GNU powered by Linux/Herd than for Sisqo powered by greed. (and I'm not picking on Sisqo, Kid Rock is just as bad, just as there are many others who are good (like Linux))
Must be, as I can think of at least a million better uses of technology than this. Then again, there are lots of people around the world who like violence and war more than anything, some of them are in Iran, some are in Iraq, some are in France, some are in the USA, some are in Japan, some are in Australia, some in Africa, some are even in Canada. There are lots of THEM, I just hope none of them are slashdoters. Regardless, IBM again stands for Instill Biogtry and Machosism. Thanks, but no thanks. I'd much rather work on finding solutions to world problems than on fighting machines. Losers.
There are less and less people who understand the way data is routed, the way bits are composed, the fact that it's 1024 and not 1000, and the way the world works... and there are more and more script kiddies and clueless teenagers... It's a sad day, but it can be turned into happiness. Let's all shut down our routers for a few minutes in dedication to him (no please don't do this if you are a large ISP). Regardless, I think more people should pay attentiont to what they are doing.

Your intellect surely shows when your suggestion is to throw away our natural resources as if we had an unlimited supply of them.

Is that why you posted Anonymously?
and that's why you use Linux, because you care!
