As a note on the 'one price for every song'. I went to go buy a track off the original Footloose soundtrack and it was $1.29. It cost $.30 more simply because it was more popular then the rest of the tracks on the soundtrack. It cost no more to produce, store, or transmit, the only property that made them charge more was that more people wanted it. I ended up pirating the artist's entire discography after that. I refuse to pay for digital goods whose prices rest SOLELY on how popular it is.
Im sure ill get an economist telling me im horribly wrong and thats how markets work etc.
Piracy IS the answer, it is a direct market force against this shit. If there was no piracy, they would still lock it down. Every time someone pirates a song it cements the idea that locking up culture is bad business.
Who is this 'them'? WE ARE THE GOVERNMENT. If we so order 'they that are charged with upholding the law' to stand down and stop spying on citizens they MUST comply or face armed retribution.
WE THE PEOPLE keep us safe by demanding they act in a just and righteous manner, in accordance to both the letter and spirit of our laws. Anything less is utter treason.
I am leaving Verizon as soon as i can over the ridiculous tethering bullshit. Its on a compltely separate meter from my unlimited data package and its $20 fucking bucks. My phone can suck down as much data as any laptop, their old excuses of tethering using more data is bullshit now.
It has plenty of practical uses. Im running a webserver off mine, almost 300 days uptime. Its just several static pages, but it saves me paying for hosting every year. I use another as a temp/humidity sensor recorder in my office. I have another one setup the same in my media closet to kick on the fans if it gets too hot.
The fact that I cant pump out two audio streams out of my computer is a direct result of the media cartels influence. Its insane how much we let content affect technology.
And she did it on the phone at her house. Its not like she was in a room giving testimony. Its these tiny little moments they will use to string you up if they can.
This is a huge issue for me. The police should not be able to lie except under very strict circumstances involving undercover work. In the police station a cop should NEVER be allowed to lie. Any prevarication should result in immediate termination. We pay you to uphold the law and to do it in an honorable manner. Lying is not allowed in the pursuit of Justice.
We didnt come up with the second amendment ( the right to bear arms) out of thin air. It was after long and careful examination of the history of governance. You make it sound like there is no rock-solid logical arguments for the way we do things. Please feel free to explain why you think our Founding Fathers were wrong on the concepts of individual liberty and distrust of government.
The problem with your argument is that port 80 is not required to serve up a webpage, merely a default. You can easily host on another port.
The whole point of this argument is why are we letting this in in the first place? It doesnt help and only advances our enemies.
If its a black box, i fail to see how this helps Linux users.

I think its unethical to think that its ok to ask their secrets be kept. I have no obligation to keep state secrets I deem harmful to the citizenry.

I broke my SD slot too. I ended up super-gluing a SD to MicroSd adapter in the socket. Works great.

OK smart ass. I use the GPIO to connect all sort of sensors I have (temp/humidity/compass/GPS etc) plus micro LCDs for status display.
Does the Mk808B have GPIO?
I can go buy one RETAIL, 10 minutes away.
Its meant for trivial things, thats kind of the point. If you want hardened gear you have to pony up for it.
I have been serving a static webpage with lightppd with an uptime of 290 days.

Nvidia has consistently ALWAYS been better then ATI/AMD. ATI is always second place and a sore loser.
I doubt the last part. The games are about HUMAN athleticism. Giving a robot the torch is off-theme in a big way.
All U.S. cops are civilians. I dont give a shit what wikipedia says about 'US parlance'. Cops are civvies, just like us.

As part of due process. The need for openness in this matter trumps privacy.

No there is not. Welcome to the Information Age. The biggest difference here is your perception vs reality.
I have had wireless charging on my Palm Pre for years, its ok but not all that.
