who said anything about only graphics programs? If done right, one should theoretically be able to expand the base of mac os apps available 10fold with the addition of being able to use X-apps.
I have to feel that the writer's actions are to be respected, and admired for his professionalism. In a world of sensationalism and shoddy news, I find something like excelent. One of the cardnal rules are to not reveal your sources. cheers! -- Ignore any spelling errors if they occure. I haven't slept in a long long time.
Because, while the majority of people who read slashdot are techs, a computer is a tool to get things done. A good tool accomplishes something in the shortest, most efficient, most elegant way. Ignore the specifics of the arguments, individual features etc.. what it comes down to is my parents completely and totaly know what's going on with a Mac, with a PC, I end up getting a phone call. That and they are the only computers that might conceviably be called "sexy". -- yes, I have an imac, it sits on top of the e450;)
Actually, all my phones are VOIP/DSL. They work beautifuly, especially all those calls over seas. I love beta-testing.:) 'Sides, current versions of IP don't have the built in QOS, but hopefully in a year or so if IPv6 ever comes out, we'll have the built in QOS to make it work.
Why could it never happen here? Yes, it is illeagal, but the article states that is was a blackmarket datableas, hence, illeagal. You can buy wiretap kits from any number of catolog companies, and/or a library card and a couple of bucks.
Did any of you really look at that? I'm glad we can have this rousing debate on wether it is better to use MS Word or PDF etc. Who cares, use vi. The thing that bothers me is that the person who "revealed" this information basically only seems to reveal people's names, and that's pretty screwed up. Even if you don't agree with someone's reasoning, when a major news source covers up peices of a document, and when it comes out, they ask for information to be taken off the web post-haste, due to a threat on the lives of the people who were revealed, it seems that is what we should be interested in and upset about. -Nick
Hmm...Interesteing, if they've opensourced Perhaps the BSD back end could be transitioned into linux... Wouldn't it be strange, if now, out of all the times when the refuesed in the past, Mac Software will run on X86... > Could mean some serious software, though, if Carbon is Open Soursed too.
While not technically, a programming/hacking/comp flick. I think that Pi is excelent at depicting a subject that normally is hard to express. I think that just with everythy thing else, if you concentrate on a person, and what it means to them, you can make anything interesting and intreagueing . Anyway, who knows, eh?

Try the Netra t1s. little under 4k. Nice box, very peppy. Has a sparc 400, up to 256m ram (I think) and is generally pretty cool.
I'd be interested to hear from someone who knows what they're talking about, how using the fm spectrem in wireless networking could communications.
