IMHO Malware is still going to be considered as much a nuisance in china, say, as it is anywhere else.....
tons of spam clogging up your email account is the same for everyone.
Not sure i agree freeware isnt attractive...its cheaper to buy a pirate disc than download
freeware -except the pirate disc might contain added malware whereas the freeware wont.
More likely problem (i'd guess)... the third world (as always) will provide cheap labour for human user-based scams...
like call centres -but for the bad guys
Havent followed tvs for years, so no expertise from home viewing....
From seeing them in shop windows...very big, very impressive, very sharp.
youd never want to go back...but i'd swear to god you get used to what
you have in a month or two then no longer notice the difference..
so unless you improve 3/4 times a year you might as well only upgrade
after a new technology is perfected & more importantly its
not ridiculously expensive...
of course.. youd have to not mind 'not keeping-up with the joneses'
(the no.1 marketing tool!) to do it.
so LCD would be my choice if i were buying.

i reckon the internet is madly racing to catch the speed
ingenuity & complexity of (any) human mind(s) & the social
networks it can create.
sort of like Achilles &... the tortoise &... the hare
Achilles = internet. hare = human mind
Achilles can never catch up
the hare shouldnt be complacent.
