    People will fall for this - I mean it. I got my friend to believe this, he was about to "order". He really thought it was true. You should try tricking your friends with google's april fools jokes it is great fun. - Oh no, linux wont run on my toilet!

    But I think that what is wanted is to get the students involved and for them to learn word processing skills etc.

    if you want firefox in kiosk mode then I suggest this linux MorphixLiveKiosk 0.03. Goto here http://www.morphix.org/index.php?option=com_conten t&task=view&id=80&Itemid=59 the 7" lcd screen is actually 800*600 but I think that would be good enough, it would cause more I strain if it was a higher resolution(1024*768 for example) on the same screen size.

    really cheap computers with usable hardware AND you can get LCDs here
    http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/store/TFT_LCD
    LCDs are 7 Inches! And run on only 9w.
    I would think this is a pretty good solution.

    If you think MS are ok read the Windows Vista EULA which gives MS the power to switch off your computer's os whenever they want without specifing a reason.

    LINUX ROCKS, especially UBUNTU & DSL.
