(trying to be sarcastic) Why so many Mac users "have some particular problems with Microsoft technologies" ?:)) It looks more and more like disability:) Maybe health insurance industry can do something to help suffering people.

I'm an C++ expert with several successful start-ups in my history and what I can say is you should never make design or development decissions based on how cool code looks and how interesting it is to try new stuff. In most cases it hurts the project. What you can do is to find the job where you will develop something you're interested in (you're young and you don't have anything to lose anyway) OR you may participate Open Source project. There are plenty on them of www.sf.net.
By the way I had unlucky chance to work with young and opinionated Harvard graduates and it was something. Now I truly belive that main major in Harvard on CS is self-convincing where they're trained to repeat "I'm so cool. Everyone is stupid."
